Abstract
Este trabajo de investigación se desarrolló en El Salvador entre los meses de septiembre 1999 y enero 2000, ensaya un análisis comparativo para vincular las metodologías utilizadas en 18 municipios -con características muy distintas- en los procesos de planificación participativa y examinar los resultados en términos de su aporte al desarrollo local. El estudio extrae lecciones importantes y presenta una propuesta metodológica para contribuir a fortalecer la planificación concertada y participativa como herramienta para la democratización y dinamización del desarrollo local.
