Abstract
Analiza el papel de la participación ciudadana en los procesos de desarrollo local, así como su aporte al impulso de la democracia participativa. El trabajo le da seguimiento al análisis de estos procesos a través de los estudios de caso de tres experiencias: San Salvador, los municipios que conforman la micro región del Bajo Lempa y finalmente el estudio de 18 municipios que presenta el proceso metodológico sobre planificación participativa en El Salvador.
